Oak Point Campground - Lake Glendale
If you are looking for a place in the center of the Shawnee National Forest, then Lake Glendale Recreation Area is for you. Its central location makes it easy to visit main attractions on either side of the forest or any place in-between. Surrounded by tall pine trees and mixed hardwood forests, Lake Glendale Recreation Area offers a wide range of recreation opportunities including hiking, camping, swimming, boating, fishing and bicycling. The accessible picnic area has a large picnic shelter near the lake with party grills for group gatherings. OAK POINT - LAKE GLENDALE Campground features 36 electric and 24 non-electric campsites, showerhouses, water hookup, and a dump station. Capacity: 335 Fee: Overnight Use: Single Site: $15 per night Single Site with eclectic: $25 per night Double Site: $28 per night Double Site eclectic: $48 per night Water: Yes Restroom: Yes Restrictions: Picnic areas are open 6am ? 10pm Beach Open: Monday - Saturday 11am to 5:30pm and Sunday 12pm to 6pm Swimming allowed at beach only. Pets must be leashed, and are not allowed on the beach or in the designated swim area. Pack It In, Pack It Out, along trails. Stay on the designated trails. Camp only at designated sites.
