The Frazier Horse Campground is nestled into a Sonoran desert landscape at Roosevelt Lake, one of Arizona's most outstanding water-based recreation areas. The lake is the largest of four reservoirs within a 2-hour drive of Phoenix and Tucson. The facility has the first lakeside horse camp built in the Southwestern Region of the Forest Service. From the recreation site, trail users access the Arizona Trail, an 800-mile (1,287-kilometer), non-motorized trail. This is a 100-person group site with ramada, grills, picnic tables, group-fire ring, horse corrals and tanks. Capacity: 100 Fee: Overnight Use: Group Site: $75 per night (1-49 people); $150 per night (50+ people) Water: Yes, drinking water is available from a hand pump Restroom: Vault toilet(s) Restrictions: 14-day stay limit. Horse trailers under 32 feet. Rules and regulations are posted at bulletin board areas. Please read and observe. Please use trash receptacles when available. PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Quiet hours 10:00 pm to 6:00 am (running generators are not permitted during quiet hours).
