Erickson Springs Campground is in a dense spruce and fir forest near Anthracite Creek and receives little sunlight, so it is cooler than much of the surrounding area. Each site has a tent pad and can accommodate smaller camping trailers, a picnic table and a fire ring/grill. There is a picnic area near the campground, and a separate ATV parking area nearby. The Dark Canyon Trailhead is just past the campground and provides access to the Raggeds Wilderness Area via the Dark Canyon Trail #830. OHV/ATV users ride nearby Forest Road #795 (Munsey Creek Road), which extends north from Erickson Springs Campground to the Raggeds Trailhead and Raggeds Trail #820. Capacity: 90 Fee: Overnight Use: Single Site: $14 per night Additional Vehicle Fee: $7 per night Day Use: $6 per vehicle per day Water: No drinking water is available Restroom: Vault toilet(s) Restrictions: This is bear country: campers must properly store food and other attractants.
