Chula Vista is a hike-to campground over a short trail northeast of parking lot. Each of the campsites are shaded by large Jefrey Pines. The parking lot is a popular snowlplay area during winter and for star gazing.due to the exceptional dark skies. Adventure Pass must be purchased and displayed on parked vehicles within the parking lot and along Cuddy Valley Road down to the eastern end of Cuddy Valley when snow is present. No fees are required during the spring thru fall months or when snow is not present in these areas. Capacity: 60 Fee: Day Use: Winter Season $5 per vehicle per day $30 per annual Water: No water available Restroom: Vault toilets in campground and contracted portable toilets are placed in the large parking lot during the winter months only for snowplay users. Restrictions: Cuddy Valley Road is a county-maintained paved road. During the winter when snow-covered, the county may close the snow gate at the bottom of Mt Pinos until the snow can be plowed making it safer to travel. Tire chains may be required it be installed on vehicles at the junction of Cuddy Valley Road and Mil Potrero Highway.
