Guanella Pass Campground
The Guanella Pass Campground is located about seven miles south of Georgetown on the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway. Visitors enjoy hiking and fishing in the area. The campground is split into two loops by the county road and South Clear Creek. There are 18 sites in the campground. Elevan are suitable for RV camping and seven are more suitable for tents. Large RVs are not recommended on the byway. Each site has a tent pad, picnic table, fire ring and charcoal grill. The facility also provides hand pumps with potable water, vault toilets and trash dumpsters. There are not electric/water/sewer site hook-ups at this campground. This campground is located at an elevation of 10,900 feet, so cold nights should be expected. Most of the sites are in the open, but there are some tent sites located among the spruce trees. Nearby activities include hiking, fishing, visiting historic Georgetown and local ghost towns. Tents must fit on the pads provided. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted. The parking length ranges from 20 to 45 feet. Dogs must be on leash.
