The campground is located on the ridge above Chevelon Canyon Lake in a mixture of ponderosa pine, juniper and pinyon pine.Chevelon Canyon Lake offers spectacular views and opportunities for hiking and fishing.NO TRASH SERVICE AVAILABLE. This is a Pack-it-in / Pack-it-out area. Take your trash with you when you leave. Capacity: 50 Fee: Help keep this area free use. Pack out all your trash and leave the area in better shape than you found it. Open Season: January - December Water: No Restroom: Vault Toilet Restrictions: Chevelon Canyon Lake Campground is considered a dispersed campground. If the forest is in fire restrictions NO FIRES are allowed. This campground is a Pack-it-in Pack-it-out area.
