Silver Dollar Campground is located in a shaded lodgepole pine forest at an elevation of 9,900 feet within the Turquoise Lake Recreation Area. It is named after the infamous Horace and Baby Doe Tabor's daughter. Facilities include vault toilets, potable water, picnic tables, and fire rings. Firewood is available for sale at the camp host site.The Turquoise Lake Nature Trail traverses between Silver Dollar and Molly Brown campgrounds. This gentle 1.2 mile trail will take you from the depths of the forest to the shoreline. Pick up your trail guide prior to your departure to learn about the area's flora and fauna.High altitude sickness may occur at this altitude.Please follow the link for Turquoise Lake Campgrounds. Capacity: 215 Open Season: Late May/EarlyJune Water: Potable water is available through a pressurized water system. No filling RV tanks, please. Restroom: Vault toilets are located throughout the campground. Restrictions: The following restrictions apply to this campground : Maximum 8 persons per site: 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle. Dogs must be leashed at all times. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE.
