Mcgill Campground
Escape from the city to the remote and beautiful McGill Campground. The campground, bursting with views of mountains and valleys, is an ideal base for several hiking trails. A dense stand of Jeffrey and Ponderosa Pines shade the campground and individual campsite are nicely spaced. The two group campsites within the campground can be reservered for larger groups. Capacity: 365 Fee: Overnight Use: Single Site: Single Site (Weekends): $32 per night Water: No water available Restroom: Vault toilet(s) Restrictions: Cuddy Valley Road is a county-maintained paved road. During the winter when snow-covered, the county may close the snow gate at the bottom of Mt Pinos until the snow can be plowed making it safer to travel. Tire chains may be required to be installed on vehicles at the junction of Cuddy Valley Road and Mil Potrero Highway. Depending on when winter storms start, the concessionaire may close this campground between November 1st and April 30st due to snow.
