Burning Bear Campground
Burning Bear Campground is off of Guanella Pass Road, north of the town of Grant. The Guanella Pass Road (Park County Rote 62) is a Scenic and Historic Byway, and is one of the most popular scenic drives on the Pike-San Isabel National Forests Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands. This campground is nestled in a valley with beautiful views. Host is available on site. There is no dump station or hook-up available.All dates are weather dependent. Dates of operation below are dates visitors may expect full service. The area also has an extended season when services such as water, trash or a host may not be available through December 31, 2021. Capacity: 65 Fee: Overnight Use: Single Site: $28 per night Additional Vehicle Fee: $11 for third vehicle Day Use: $11 per day if not camping overnight Open Season: May 28, 2021 Water: Hand pump Restroom: Vault toilets Restrictions: The following restrictions apply to this campground: Maximum 8 persons per site, 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle (RV). Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE.
