Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains this 39 sitecampground is near the Pecos Wilderness Area, which features 160,000 acres of majestic mountain scenery, high mountain lakes and the Pecos River, and is forested with fir trees intermixed with aspens, which shimmer with golden foliage in the fall. A variety of wildlife, such as elk, mule deer, migratory birds, and other raptors inhabit the nearby Forest.Hikers find this locationconvenient to the popular Pecos Wilderness Areas trails which can be easily accessed from the campground.. Capacity: 200 Fee: Overnight Use: Single Site: $10 per night Water: No potable water is available Restroom: Vault & Compost Toilets (3) Restrictions: No horses or horse trailers allowed. No ATVs allowed. 3 cars per site limit. Quiet hours from 10pm to 7am.
