Thompson River Camp Site

Dispersed camping near Thompson Falls, ID

Narrow dispersed camp site next to the Thompson River with 2 rock campfire rings. It is suitable for up to 3 overland vehicles with rooftop tents or 2 vehicles and 2 ground tents or a small trailer and truck. Ground is somewhat unlevel but there are rocks to place under wheels. There is enough level area for medium size ground tents. Thompson River Rd is adjacent and has a lot of traffic during the day but is quiet at night. The river is shallow but good for a summer sit down soak. About 25 yards down stream is a small swim area by a large boulder in the river. Short trails lead off in both directions from the campsite paralleling the river.
